The Ways of Chainz

SoulOur Ways

The Chainz crew  is a delightful mix. The musical master Colton Jacobs, the musical supporters, the technical lackey Sibastian Bythewood, and our trusted personal scrooge Bill MacLachlan.

We're a family at the core of our beliefs, nothing less than blood brothers.

Chainz Enterprises itself is neither a music group or separately a brotherhood of "do-gooders", we simply do what we feel would make the most people happy... Or at the very least what will make us happy. However, we do tend to reserve the stand-alone title of Chainz for our musical endeavors.

We write songs, we create digital art, we rig old lawnmowers so that they more resemble a monstrous man-eater and tear up your lawn, you name it. If it's asked of us politely enough, we'll more than likely lend a hand.

So without further ado, a message from the boys at Chainz:

"Sit back, relax, and have a beer or twelve."

Axiom Shift: Coming to an End

Posted September 1, 2010

As Axiom Shift comes to and end, and the final product gets clearer and clearer. It is beginning to look awesome, and the ideas are coming together to produce an awesome album. I would call album number two a success. We are looking for, at latest, an October 11, 2010 release. It could possibly finish up even earlier than that.  Be sure to keep an eye out and check back with the music page as we continue to release the final products of our second album, Axiom Shift. From the boys at Chainz, try and stay cool in this hot weather (a.k.a. have some nice cold, frosty beers).

And a huge Happy Birthday to our best friend and brother, Sib!!!!!!!!!!!

Tragic Ends

Posted August 19, 2010

"Tragic ends are all we know, cry out for help, and fight on. Beyond your dreams, they may lie, in sanction waiting for release. The crack of dawn brings a new day; the truths lie in, awaiting for you. Crying aloud for you to see, comes the tragic end. Beautiful it seems so safe, biting bittersweet." - Chainz

Album Progress

Posted June 23, 2010

Good day ladies and gents, I present to you an announcement from yours truly, the recently returned computer gorilla, Sibastian Bythewood.

The second album, Axiom Shift, in the hopefully long and breathtaking list of Chainz releases is well underway. The two most recent additions to the track list would firstly be Angels of this World and then Impious, which I had a small hand in making myself before handing off to the musician.

By the sounds of things July 5th is our designated party night for the crew, so if any of you know someone from Chainz be sure to give 'em a call and annoy them sometime that night. Maybe you'll catch them before they're too drunk.

Also, if you haven't heard, I'm currently working on an entirely new flash-based website. This website will remain, however, for those of you who want to check up on Chainz from your phones or on your grandparents' computers.

That seems to be it for now folks, keep in touch and keep your fingers crossed for some more demo releases for the new album.

Keep Fighting

Posted April 12, 2010

Oh, the fire burns in your heart,

The phoenix flies away.

Fly above the tree line,

Rise on up, and keep on fighting.

Hey, hey, hey.

Fighting the ghosts and ghouls,

I feel only you.

Hell drags me down under,

Burning souls, ashes fall and plunder.

Dance Remixes

Posted April 5, 2010

Hey guys, Hope all is well. I have been taking a small break, working on a few other things in life. When things get rolling again though I will take a short break from Axiom Shift and make some new Dance Remixes of a couple of songs to help out a good friend of mine. I am thinking they will turn out quite nicely. Let's hope at least. From The Boys At Chainz, keep it cool, collective, and a bit drunk at times.

Axiom Shift

Posted February 16, 2010

Now that Soul has been released, it is time to start work on the new album. Its going to be titled Axiom Shift. This album will end up being in a little bit of a different format than Soul was. Also, this album will contain a song or two written for author, Corey Carroll's, new book "Four Leaf Road."  Mr. Carroll is hoping to begin writing a screen play for the book, and present it to some agents and see where it goes. Having a song or two by Chainz will help get Chainz some publicity, as well as certainly help take the book to the next level. All is well with the rest of the crew. Our Manager/Producer is hard at work trying to make post production of Soul happen. The Bull is also pitching Chainz to a few radio stations. We are not having any luck as of now, but hopefully we will get a breakthrough.  Our Technical Monkey in the back is taking some time to himself to adjust to moving to a new city, and embarking on new challenges in his life. Hopefully when things get straightened out, he will be able to hit the ground running and pump out some badass new art and graphics for Axiom Shift, and Chainz. From all the boys here at Chainz, sit back, have a beer or twelve, and try and not work to hard :)

Back From Vacations!

Posted January 5, 2010

Whew, we all took our respective vacations for the wonderful Christmas holiday and New Year's celebrations. I hope all of you enjoyed yourselves, got drunk, and gathered some good memories to add to the scrapbook. We surely did, though sadly we didn't get to see much of each other.

Anyhow, we wish you all a heartfelt welcome to another new year and the promises it holds amongst Chainz! Things have been obviously slow, but Mister Jacobs is as faithful and trustworthy as a Labrador and we are more than proud with his album's release.

Ladies and gentlemen, wishing you a good day and sincerely yours,

The Chainz Boys

Soul to the Grindstone

Posted December 9, 2009

Chainz' latest album is coming along wonderfully with a few changes in the workings. The final song, Judas, apparently is going to be replaced with an entirely new song that Colton felt inspired to create. Keep your eyes and ears open folks, we really are holding our collective breath.
